In the music of Jannis Carbotta, multi-layered ambient sounds merge with rhythmically pulsating drones built from field recordings and sampled sound fragments. Here, the noise-like quality and texture of the sounds takes center stage. The live set is expanded by the electric guitar, his main instrument.
